Quem tem medo do lobo mau? (Who's afraid of big bad wolf? )

Pense nisso.

Who's afraid of big bad wolf?

I spent this week examining the fear and its consequences. Some people are afraid of simple everyday things: dark, height, agglomerations, public presentations, insects, and so on. I would fit such kind of fear into concrete and objective ones. But there are also more complex ones, such as fear of rejection, death, old age, past, madness, future, loss and failure. Others seem unreal, such as a child who is afraid of the dark or the big bad wolf, witches and vampires or the monster in the closet.
All fears have reason and consistency in its existence and they hide hidden conflicts within each of us. But what really matters to us is to know that the fear is the greatest enemy of man. And it comes softly through in our childhood unreal things, and then it lulls in our being along with the painful realities of life.
There are good and bad fears: the good ones are those which prevent us from doing things that may hurt us, so when we are children we learn we should not touch the fire, otherwise we can burn out. That’s it. It turns out that we insist on placing our hands in the fire, even after we are burned, and then we find the bad fear. That fear which takes immeasurable proportions and leads to internal conflicts and obsessions. Take this advice; no human being was born to face the fear. Do not allow it to exist. You can overcome any fear that you find along the way; condition yourself to it. Train it. Just like the boogeyman coming to take us every night during our childhood, one day you face it, you laugh at him, you minimize him at its exact proportion, and then you learn. You learn that the best answer to our fears is the light of reason. Think about it.

Pôr do sol (Sunset)

Sunset

If you search for its meaning in online dictionaries, you will find out that “the setting of the sun” or “sunset” or “dusk” is the time when the sun is hidden on the horizon in the west and that can be considered as a reverse process of the sunrise, that is when the sun appears on the horizon to the east. This event happens every day in all regions between the Arctic Circle and the Antarctic Circle.

Every day, or rather, every afternoon, God presents us with a spectacle of colors in the sky. It is a mix of many different shades of blue: azure, cobalt, turquoise, navy, light and dark. It is a show of roses and nuances that mingle with orange and red shades.

Imagine that each of these colors is some of the dreams that came true today and that they represent each prayer that was answered. Thank. If it is not for you, that it could be for someone you know. Be sure you know someone who received a blessing today.
All your dreams are on the list and on the plans of God. When the sun goes down, remember there will always be a new day, a new beginning. As impossible as it may seem to make dreams come true, it is never impossible in the eyes of God. Remember also that even negative responses provided by Him, will always be for your good and at some point you will also see them such as blessings.

Today, when you look at the setting of the sun remember this and thank.

Thank may be the blessing you need the most today. Have

Opostos (Opposites)

Riso ao meu choro. Choro manso e calmo. Riso que acorda a minha mansidão e inquieta o meu choro.

Canto ao meu silêncio. Silêncio pensante e instigante. Canto que inspira, renova, transforma.

Certeza à minha dúvida. Dúvida acalentadora, enigmática, indefinida. Certeza que define, indica, soluciona.

Calor ao meu frio. Frio que sufoca, desmorona. Calor que liberta, ressoa e vaga.

Amor ao meu desafeto. Desafeto desolador, inconstante, incoerente, indefinido.

Acusam as estações, indicam o caminho. Siga. Rindo ou Chorando. Cantando ou em silêncio. Certo ou duvidoso. Quente ou frio. Amando ou ignorando. Desabafando ou desesperando-se.

Siga.
Se você estava esperando um sinal. Aqui está ele.

E agora, o que você vai fazer? Nada acontece por acaso; pense nisso.

Opposites

Laughing at my cries. Crying gentle and calm. Laugh that wakes my gentleness and lets my crying restless.

Singing to my silence. Silence which is thinking and provocative. Song that inspires, renews and transforms.

Sure to my questions. Doubt nurturing, enigmatic, undefined. Sure that defines, implies, solves.

Heat to my cold. Cold that chokes, collapses. Heat that frees, resonates and drifts.

Love to my dislike. Disaffection that is bleak, unstable, incoherent, and indefinite. Love that is confusing, that frees and warms me.

Relief to my despair. Despair restless, undefined, unrealistic. Relief that makes me new and full.

Opposites are not randomly placed in our lives. They do not complement each other. They accuse the stations, indicate the way. Follow it. Laughing or crying. Singing or in silence. Right or doubtful. Hot or cold. Loving or ignoring. Relieving or despairing.

Go ahead.

If you were waiting for a sign; here it is.

And now, what will you do? Nothing happens by chance, think about it.

A janela do trem (The train window)

The train window

Manuela looked through the train window. The scenery was beautiful, green, live, and happy. The path was short and the weather was nice. When looking through the glass, she saw trees of many different colors and sizes, and many different species of birds too.

Manuela looked and thought, closed her eyes for a moment and reflected. She was happy. She fell asleep into a deep sleep; she slept with her head in the window of the train.

Some hours later, she waked up and looked through the same window. Now the landscape was bleak, gray, rainy. The path then became long and the weather was not pleased anymore. When looking through the glass, she saw dried leaves, and she could no longer find the birds.

Manuela discouraged, closed her eyes and once again, she fell into a deep sleep. But she was not inclining her head to the train window. She thought things would be better when she waked up.

And, in this coming and going of feelings, thoughts and circumstances, so goes our lives. It is guided by perceptions of color, black and white. The path can be short or long, beautiful or ugly. The important thing is to move forward, keeping the faith, always looking through the train window.

A verdadeira oração (True Prayer)

True prayer

Walk into a lonely place, quiet, away from everyday noise. Look around, meet yourself, listen to your heart, free your mind from all thoughts you had throughout the day. Meditate and be ready for the meeting. Place and consider all the everyday attitudes and thoughts, the good and the bad ones, think that, right now, God is by your side. Not judging, but asking you to place in His arms your toughest problems and your longest agonies. He is the Father who welcomes, accepts, which is fighting for you. Walk with Him, because God is with you now. Not that not all the time, but right now, at present, you have the privilege of listening. Let us pray.

Start by thanking the happy moments you had and confessing your dreams, Someone is listening to you; He takes your hand and guides you on your roads. That Someone is always ready to understand you, more than a psychologist, more than a friend, even more than yourself. That Someone will be happy to hear good things and will smile dancing on your victories, will cry the bad things with you, and will protect your mind from the mundane ice which insists in meeting us during some seasons.

Do not be afraid; do not use your masked face ahead this temporal blessing. Just believe, trust and go forward, pray constantly because this meeting is the only secret that really matters. Learn how to pray, learn to listen to the incessant voice of God who advises you always to go ahead without fear and with the certainty that the path He chose is the best you have to follow. Trust and keep the faith, miracles happen in a blink of an eye, trust me.

Armazém dos Sonhos (Warehouse of Dreams)

Warehouse of Dreams

Imagine that life is a warehouse of dreams. They are all stacked on shelves waiting to be transported to another place. Every dream has its own package, weight, size, height, width, smell, color and instructions for use. Some are easier to achieve because they are in the lower parts, and so it is just to hold out your hand that they are already within reach. Others, however, are in higher and more distant places, so you will need help and great skill to remove them. But nothing prevents you to do it. Start with the smaller and lighter ones, those which are easier to achieve, then reach the one on the second shelf and soon those which are stacked up above will come to your hands.

Do not give up halfway neither give up the daily journey of dreams that drives us to the happiest feelings. Do not hurry, except the most simple and pure will. Do not get fooled only, a few packages may fall and break into a thousand pieces and you will spend time dwelling on it for such event. The important thing after the loss is the continuity. Continue and do not just remove each box of dreams, but also remount them, create new projects and new expectations. Do not stop dreaming, wanting and wishing. There are many dreams into the warehouse of dreams; go there and take them, do not give up, persevere and just never forget that is from this place that your victories and conquests come out.

Inquieto, modesto, impreciso no cálculo do tempo.

English Version A minute's silence

Invigorating, soothing, inspiration for poets and lovers, and of desire thrown into the air, flying like feathers. Restless, modest, imprecise when calculating time.

Wise, warm, divine. Music to the ears of those who can hear. Comfort to pains and doubts. Lullabies for children. Look of compassion. Mother's lap.

Silence, please do not walk away, walk beside me, share my smile, bring comfort to my will, be my inspiration, think my way.

A way in black and white, colorful of desires, full of feelings.

Stay by my side for some time more, without precise calculation, no destination to arrive, welcome my dreams and browse them with no return.

Share your knowledge and calm my countenance, restless, half scream, half cry, half go, half come.
