FELIZ Ano Novo (HAPPY New Year)

Feliz, feliz, Feliz ano novo. Ria mais de si mesmo. Seja feliz. Começa com você.

English Version - Happy New Year

What do you want during this passage of year? What dreams do you want to come true? What sad things do you want to forget? What will start? What new things will you do and what will remain the same? Think, think well. The New Year begins when your attitude is another one. What bothers you; throw it away. You do not need to carry the baggage of life of hurts, sadness, resentment and sad things. You've learned what you had to learn from painful moments, so forget them. That is the time. Think about what is to come. Think about the new chance and wonderful opportunity that God gives us every 365 days to reflect and think about what should be changed. In what must be cheerful and happy. In what we should improve in ourselves because we're not perfect human beings.

It is not the year that changes and becomes new, but you, who think differently, choosing new targets, who define new horizons, who believe that now it is going to work that long-awaited regime scheduled for the last year; now you are going to make the trip that did not happen in the past years. You set goals: stop smoking, exercise, be more present in the lives of friends and family, traveling, sightseeing, make plans to marry, have children, buy a dream house, to find the charming prince, at last, each person has his/her dream. Not just at the time of the turn, we feel longing mixed with excitement for what we had, we lived, by those who are gone, but also comes with the new year, full of hope, a new beginning.
Then after midnight on December 31 do not think the joy you spent at that hours on that day will last for long, but make sure that whatever happens, everything will be new, a new book on our life is just beginning, a new chapter, one that can be the happiest one of your life; you should simply maintain credibility in yourself and in your promises.

Write down on a piece of paper, make a list of what you need to change, and do not expect to start tomorrow, because tomorrow starts now, right now, write down and make it happen. Put it into practice. Therein it lays the secret to a beautiful and new year, worthy to be called so.

The New Year is only new if you shift and change with it, whether your life is perfect right now or if you need a twist on it. What really matters is how willing and how passionate you are by your promises, and if you continue to keep the hope of a better year alive in your heart during the week days and hours; a better place and a revolution in your life. Arrange the luggage, throw out what is not useful, organize, and put the goals into action. This will make you have a new year full of happiness and achievement. Happy, happy, happy New Year. Laugh more of yourself. Be happy. It starts with you.

Boas Festas. Sejam Abençoados.

English Version - Christmas Gift

Another end of year is just around, and together with this end, there is one more start. In this moment of reading, surely you've got your Christmas tree; you have adorned your home, bought all the gifts and chose all the good deeds that you fell in your heart.

Christmas is always magical, special, charming, warm and hopeful. That during this happy night, just and only the blessings you need in this new journey that is just beginning flood, abound and invade your home, your family, friends.

Do not forget to eat as much as possible all those festive treats: turkey, tender, french toast, pine nuts, candied fruit, cake, raisin, and all the others that the Christmas / New year package brings for us. Forget the regime at this time, it is not worth. It is worth, though, to break the rules at this time; yes, everything is allowed, and everything is magical. Enjoy it.

Do not be sad to remember that beloved relative who was gone this year, or a few years ago, but who is someone you never forgot, nor that special person who is not sharing life by your side anymore, because it is Christmas, because it is just that: memories. Memories shape us and strengthen us, they move us.

And, finally, we must never forget to follow the example of Jesus Christ, through good actions aiming to become less selfish, less vain and more human in terms of quality, willingness to help others, to learn how to distinguish between what really has value and what is just superfluous. Happy Holidays. Be Blessed.

A Garota e o Demônio (The Girl and the Devil)

Disse a garota apontando a rocha.

English Version - The Girl and The Devil

The girl was sitting on the rock, watching the scenery, the linear mountains of the island of Skye, daydreaming and cheering with her plans for the journey ahead in the New Year.

A redheaded guy came closer asking, ‘Do you see those people down there? That child that you see running is not playing, she is just scared and not knowing where to go’.

‘That lady you think is educated and simple, calm and quiet this afternoon, she is not reading that book in her hands. She is wondering how she will cure the disease that is in her body for three years’.

‘That couple is not in love: the girl is thinking about the date she will have later with that married man who abandoned her long ago, and who she never forgot. And the guy knows it; so he gets drunk with rum and pain’.

‘And further, there, in that house, there is a terrible fight; there is a robbery at the other corner.’

‘If you could read the thoughts humans have in their minds, just like I can, you would be really upset.’

‘The landscape looks beautiful from up here, but you need to appreciate the details’, continued the man with a defiant and astute tone of voice.

‘You dream with love, unity, reconciliation, hope, faith, peace. All these things do not exist; they are just inspirations and quotes to try to make life less burdensome. Do not be fooled. Everything is very real, more surprisingly painful and sad around here.

The man, then, continued his dialogue for a few more minutes when the girl got tired, got up from the rock, her eyes dreamy and sweet, kind and brave, turned to him and then she concluded:

‘You, sir, spoke, spoke, and I listened for some time, now if you can excuse me, I would like you to noticed such little detail that you did not observed’, said the girl pointing to the rock, “Devil, go and torment elsewhere, because my faith is so firm and strong as this stone that I have just pointed.”

The girl, then, walked away without looking back.

There was wind, there was rain, and there was peace.

A casa de Vidro (The Glass House)

English Version - The Glass House

How often we face situations in which we can not find a solution. Not then, not during that period of time. Certain situations are solved by themselves at times, while others we need to match patience and intelligence to reach a favorable solution. It's like playing make-believe. Unfortunately, when we grow up we forget how to do it.

A life full of dreams, achievements and things that once was good for us now frightens us. Why fear to dream? Why to dream now is only an impossible thing? Why give up easily at the first hurdle? Did we unlearn in adulthood the intensity and the need to be a child who falls and rises without fear, without guilt? Still believing in fairy tales and continuing to dream without guilt for taking falls or stumbles along the way?

Our homes as adults are frail; they crumble and shatter into millions of smaller pieces with only a small stone dropped into the right place. Only one negative thought. An error, a fatal error crumbles to pieces our home grown. And why? We're simply choosing the wrong material to build it. What is firm and safe can even be made of glass, but its foundation is not based on the frustrations and fears of adulthood, but in faith and courage to keep going being sure I am on the right path, the correct one, the one which makes good things, which takes care and does not accept less than that.

Think about the structure of your home and what material you use to build it and do it. Have a good week.

Carta ao aniversariante (Letter to the Birthday Girl)

Vale a pena.
Apague as velinhas agora. Tenha um lindo dia. E um lindo ano novo.

Birthday is something to be celebrated. It is the magic of life; the happiness of being here.

Thank God for every moment He provided us. For the good ones which gave us motivation to move on and for the bad ones, which taught us something that contributed to our character.

Silêncio (Silence)

Silêncio. Acalme e acalente minha metade gritante e inconsolável.

Não me pergunte. Não me questione, me acompanhe por algum tempo e por algum tempo me compreenda, aí então me abandone, para que eu possa seguir adiante, gritando canções coloridas em noites tristes de primavera.

Silence English Version

Silence. Calm and take care of my half which is crying and inconsolable, and which does not want to contain itself, it does not want to be limited. Bring me a little peace, a little breeze.

A little luck; a little bit of music. Do not let me venture through the disturbing promises of my heart that beats and beats uncontrollably at all times of noise.

Come up slowly; sit beside me in the window of thoughts and dreams. Do not keep me waiting, restless and thinking at every thousandth of the uncontrollable clock of life. Come up meek and passive, calm and comforting to my struggles and losses. Keep company to my desire, be my dream ladder, crossing to my path.

A little bit of love; a little poetry. Do not let me scream at sad thoughts, nor suffer disappointments that can shut my mind.

Just come quietly, make yourself present, keep company. Do not ask me questions. Do not question me, follow me for a while and, for some time, understand me; then, leave me there, so I can move forward, screaming colorful songs through sad nights of Spring.

Seja Credor (Be a Creditor)

English Version - Be a creditor

How many chances life gives us, and we dismiss people and things we love. Everyday, the phone numbers of those who are apart are there available for us to call them. The reunions are waiting for the opportunity to reconciliations and those, to which we no longer feel connected to, still circulate through life by linking up and spreading out the thousands of opportunities presented.

Do not waste the chances. Do not neglect each magical moment when life gives you every day a chance to turn a ‘not’ into a ‘yes’, even a smile into tears, disbelief into faith. Maybe tomorrow you will not be here anymore. I try always to remember that the most fascinating and magical things that people take in life are those which we cannot touch, the feelings we cannot touch and emotions we can only feel. When mature, we eventually understand that the greatest wealth is as simple as a smile and clear as a sunny day, and it is something which strokes our ego, nurtures our being.

Do not waste your time with what do not enrich you. Do not be discouraged with the negative ones and make them positive, living dreamers, thinkers. Enjoy every magic moment that life gives you every day so that your notebook of ‘having’ and ‘there to be’ can always be bigger than the one of ‘not having’ and ‘there not to be’; it is preferable to be a creditor. Be a creditor of smiles, hope, and reconciliation. Be a creditor of willpower, courage, and faith. Do not waste your magic moment and feel yourself always blessed. Because that is the way God has taught us when He was among us, "Have faith, for I have overcome the world."
